90 Accord Stalling - PLEASE HELP!
Hi All! All of a sudden today I started having problems with my 1990 Honda Accord stalling. It originally stalled when i was at a red light. I pushed the car over to the side and tried to turn it over and it wouldn't start. Sometimes I have to spray engine starter fluid when it doesn't turn over. I did that and it started...got 3 blocks and it happened again. At one point I got up to a speed of 45 mph and then it acts up again. And actually the car doesn't stall right away...I loose acceleration, try to down shift...and eventually slows to the point of stalling. This happened around 6 times over a course of 5 miles. I don't know much but the basics about cars and was wondering if anyone might have any ideas on what this problem is and how I might go about fixing it??? Thanks a million, I appreciate it.
It sound like it is a fuel related problem. When you sprayed starting fluid in it it cranked up right? Did it stay running? It could be your main relay or fuel pump going bad.
