Phoenix Gold's new RSD components sound pretty good and are under $200. Look good too.

Sometimes you can find the Alpine Type X's for less than $200 on eBay, which is quite a deal indeed.

i should know, i have 6x9 infinity reference in the back, they sound really nice too, but dont really seem to hit as hard as i want them to, thats why i want to go with components up front, that and i used to have a 97 black coupe EX which had stock components and those hit pretty good

I've always had a good history with Focal comp's in all my cars. I would definately recommend taking a look at the entry level ones.

jl audio owns a company called TMA (total mobile audio). the president of tma gave me a set of their 6.5 inch components, 6.5 inch coax, and 3 of their amps. he gave me this stuff because i didnt care to sell it in our store, because i thought it was a low quality line. man was i wrong these speakers sound awesome. and the best thing is they retail for 179.99 (i dont work at that store anymore) i believe. you should find a jl dealer and go listen to a set.

Talked with a sales guy at eD, said the current versions are made in part with cdt, but the newer versions (coming out late this year more than likely) are designed completely in house

Too bad they don't have a 3-way setup, I'd like to try some out
