mpfi questions
OK, im planing on doing this to my dx. I got the ressistor box and ECU of 89 integra.
Not sure what tha ecu called, can anyone tell me?
PM6, PM7, or a PR4 ?
Also will the D15B7 intake manifold work?
And what about the distributor?
Also may be i should just grab the UEC from that b7?
There is one of this engines on the junkyard, so i just wanted to get all the parts at once.
So will all of this work togethere good? Or i need something else?
all the help apreciated

i bought my si with a d15b7 installed, the motor ran fine on obdo if you took the dpfi manifold off your b2 and switched to d15b7 manifold it would bolt right up and everything would plug right in....just get an si ecu i have one for sale for ultra cheap if youre intrerested i also have so other goodies
everything would plug right in
by that you mean all the sensors and stuff? What about the ijectors? Do i still need my ressistor box?
any extra stuff required ?
so 89 teg ecu wouldnt work???
89 civic si i might be interested

the ecu from that integra is pg7,,it will run the motor but will run pig rich cause its meant for 1.6 litre dohc and the rev limit is to high....That d15b7 manifold will work fine,,its obd1 though so the injectors on it will be saturated meaning you wont need the resistor box....for the distributor you'll need a 88-91 si or hf ,,,and then you'll have to do the wiring for mpfi look here http://fourthgenhatch.net/mpfi.html
Thsnks!
Now just to be clear.
1. b7 manifold will work
2. i need si ecu
3. i need to get the si distributor
4. wire up si ECU
5. all the manifold sensors/plugs, will plug right in
6. and with the manifold beaing obd1 i dont need to worry about resistor box at all?
do i need anything else???
sorry im just still new to this stuff

i know lot of people wont bother to reply. I did search, and most of the write ups on it hold the same idea. BUT, im a bit confused with some aspects, because different people say different things about this swap.
I got my ecu based on this http://efcivicsedan.myfreeforum.org/ftopic6.php
No it seems that it will not work. I just want to make sure i have all the right parts before i even start doing it.

yeah since its an obd1 manifold you dont need no resistor box,,also the obd1 intake manifold has the map sensor built into the thottlebody so you can make your engine bay alot cleaner basically ditching all that crap on the firewall,,,(stock map sensor, vacuum lines, purge solenoid, charcoal canister) or you can continue to use the stock firewall mounted map sensor its all up to you..just so you know to use the obd1 map sensor you have to extend the wires a bit,,no big deal though....and on the z6 manifold you have to plug one of the coolant hoses on the manifold cause it goes no where ,,not sure about the b7 manifold,,but if it happens to you just plug it with a bolt and clamp...you can reuse your stock dx iat .

- All this means, is that you probably have a throttle body mounted MAP sensor
Use of the TB Mounted MAP sensor is not required, you can continue to use the stock one on the firewall with vacuum lines run to it.
- As for your injectors, if they are OBD1 injectors, you will be using what we refer to as a "block off plug" or "12-volt cap"

This goes in place of the Injector Resistor box, bridging the 12 volt power wire, with the 4 injector wires.
- You need to perform a DPFI to MPFI conversion. This is tricky if you've never done wiring before. That's why Rywire exists - to aid people in what's usually the most difficult aspect of any DPFI-MPFI swap.
This is the conversion product link:
http://rywire.com/store/8891-c....html
We can make it with OBD1 type injector clips.
Good luck, if you get really stuck just call Rywire. We help everyone.
just to squash all of your problems here are the answers, call rywire send them your dx harness let them do the legwork with your dpfi problems..two if you want to make things cheaper do your mpfi swap, use the resistor box and pick up some obdo injectors..it is not neccesary to use obd1 injectors..it will make things alot easier on you if you just use the obdo injectors..all of your sensors will plug into the new manifold and work..to make things easier call rywire and spend the money and aleiviate your headaches
awesome! thanks
i got the b7 manifold today. all with sensors came to CND 40$.
I think its not to bad, so now i need to come back for the injectors
