Need help! NSX calipers on 5-lug!
Ok. So over the weekend, I took my ITR 5 lug off of my Integra and put it on my EK hatch. I decided to put some used NSX calipers on the front while everything was apart. I used some new Legend rotors and pads on the fronts as well as a 99-00 Si proportioning valve. Everything looked fine, granted it was already 1130 at night and really dark when I finished. I checked over everything and went to park the hatch in front of my house. I only drove it for about 75 yards and heard some serious screeching and grinding. I parked it and checked the rears. They were ok. Checked the front and there are dug in gashes all teh way around the brand new rotors. They are the same on both sides. Everything seemed to be ok and in order when it went together. I did a search but could not figure out which information is right because there are different people saying different things. Do I need to use some parts off of the ITR calipers? Should I have used the ITR rotors? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to put the ITR calipers and rotors back on unless I have to. Thanks!

sounds like you have clearance issues. The same thing happened to me on my teg when I did the 5 lug conversion. I used prelude calipers. You may want to take it apart and double check everything again. Making sure that when you have it up on jack stands to rotate the rotor to see if it is indeed a clearance issue between your caliper and rotors.

It doesn't matter. NSX front pads and ITR front pads are the same size and shape, and can be interchanged without problems. When you order aftermarket front pads, you will find that they sell the same part number for either car.

I will also be doing this mod in the next month or Two. Im using this thread as a reference. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=239844
Ok. So today, I went and got some new Legend GS rotors. I told them I need some front rotors for a 94' Legend GS coupe. I switched my caliper brackets. So, now I'm running, ITR caliper brackets, NSX calipers, and 94' Legend GS coupe rotors. One thing I did notice is that the rotors that they gave me this time seem to be the same thickness as my ITR ones. Should they be the thicker ones like the ones I messed up the first time? My brake pedal seems soft. Is this because the calipers are over-extending the pistons to hit the thinner rotors or is it because my booster, or master cylinder is bad? It stops so-so but you almost have to bury the pedal to the floor. I bled the system 3 times all the way around so I don' think there is air in there. Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks!
NA2 calipers will not fit the standard Legend/ITR rotors. They are 288mm and you need 300mm ones to accomodate the taller offset on the NA2's. I believe (although untested) rotors from a Accord Euro R (Acura TSX) or from an Oddyssey (RA9 ) will work if you are trying to an NA2 caliper upgrade
JDMTurboEG6 - Yeah, that's basically what I did. I was just wondering about the space in between the caliper and the rotor. It looks right to me, not too big or small of a gap. I just don't know why my brakes still feel so soft. They are engaging but not until the pedal is pressed in about 65% of the way. Anyone know how to tell if the master cylinder is bad?

That's dumb advice - the whole reason for the swap is to use the THICKER (26MM) rotors of the NSX/Legend for increased heat sink.

did the squeaking noise go away? the setup you're running is the EXACT setup i, as well as the seller who sold me the calipers had..
sorry i can't answer your other question

The NSX/Legend GS rotors are actually 28mm thick - and you're exactly right about using the thicker rotors
