2002 civic need some help please
i just put a header on my car which removed the cat. So my engine light is on and i can tell i am running rich and my gas mileage has gone down to. Whats the best way to fix this and reset my fuel mix? i was thinking of Greddy emanage but was not sure. Any Help will do. and the headers had built in bungs for teh sensors so they are plugged in i just need to get it running better again. Thanks
y not add a cat back after the header? then its legal and fixes the problem. You can also use an 02 sim.
If u really want to use enginemangement, go nuts but it sounds a little overkill unless u have a built engine.

That sums it up nicely.

the problem is then to relocate the o2 sensors to before and after the cat to take the readings which would be a pain. thats why i was just wondering if it would be easier to just get a engine management system. i do plan on building the motor up to. but for now i just want my engine to run right.

All it takes is a little wire extension. Engine management won't clear that up for you, because it will call for readings from the O2 sensor.

yea i guess it would just be alittle wire moving then. ok wel thanks alot for your help. Do u no of any like chips or plug and play tuners for the D17?

As far as engine management, there are a few piggyback setups out there (none of which have provided much success on the hp field), butI guess it boils down to how far you're going with the engine. It's a very difficult engine to get hp out of, without spending a lot of money.

Its only extending a few wires, its not that tough.
I suck with a sodering iron, and i got it done on my CRX when i installed my 4-1 header.
IMO dont waste the time building the d17... just go Kswap and Kpro, and get some real results. If u wanna stick with the d17, just turbo it and mildly tune it.
