speedometer broke
96 accord ex v-tech engine. it started jumping now it stays at zero. i've read a topic about a vss but where is it and where are some other places i might look? also, could this cause some acceleration problems? the only diagnostic codes the car is giving me is speed doesn't match rpm's. tia.

The speed sensor is located on top of the differential.
Straight down from where the air snorkle tube meets the throttle body. It has a 3 wire plug going into it. Heads up, when changing the speed sensor there is a little shaft that mates the sensor to the differential drive. That turkey might try to come out with the sensor and fall some where. Don't lose it.
Spending an hour crawling around looking for a 1/2 inch long shaft can ruin your happy day. Been there Done that. LOL

yeh, i already had some fun dropping a shock absorber that mounts under the radiator. it fell on top of the "front axel." is this sensor something that comes loose or goes bad or both?
