Default race pistons!!??

hi i have mk2 crx sir with now cracked piston lands from running too much boost on stock internals, woops! well i am just woundering if there is any race pistons i could replace them with instead of buying the same b16a1 pistons. i have now got rid of the turbo and running N/A so if anyone has any good ideas of pistons i would much appreciate it, cheers..

if you sourced all the parts to put a b16 in a hatch im sure you could select a set of pistons for a na setup i would just get turbo pistons and bolt the turbo back on all motoe is a joke in a honda

that have spent alot of money doing so..going all motor is great for a chevy 350 shooting alot of nitrous but unless you are gonna do a build for nitrous all motor is a joke, running 13:1 compression stinks if you put 1000 dollars and a good tune on a turbo motor you will walk all over the guy going all motor, and have spent half the money..hondas dont make good torque because of the low displacement the only way to supplement this without wads of cash is forced induction

you read into my post too much, forced induction is supercharged or turbocharged, alot of people build the motor up to handle alot of nitrous just as though they would for a turbo..so if you build your all motor honda and you want more power, just shoot the nitrous. hondas lack torque because of their small displacement. the only remedy is too cram more air into the cylinders and increase the amount of combustion. many people have quick all motor hondas and take my hat off to them but boost the engine and save your money

Not all honda motors lack displacment. Look at the numbers h22's put down

http://videos.streetfire.net/s...f.htm DH-Racings H22

Nikos k24 hatch http://video.google.com/videop...27206

Those are just a few Honda do have all motor potential

x2....all motor builds are great.....im not biased or anything but i'd rather see someone build an all motor h22 or something and put down great numbers than see someone bolt on a turbo kit and run the same (no offense to anyone on this of course)

I want to see him build a screaming 11,000 rpm all-motor engine and then "just shoot the nitrous" and watch his engine explode...

Nitrous is exactly the ******* same as a turbo or supercharging. It's forced induction. You're forcing more "induction" (air) into you're engine. You need fuel management and an engine properly built to handle it just like a turbo. An engine built for Naturally Aspirated power will not survive the extra airflow nitrous provides.

i dont know, something about this thread is fishy. How does a guy put a b16 into a ef, turbo it, and not know what kind of pistons are available out there?

bought not built........any one could build a 12 second turbo car with a dohc vtec decent size turbo a fmic and fmu or 450's and vafc but i takes money and some motivation to build a 12 second all motor car.....so i think all motor is more respectable like

sounds like the original poster might have had too much poor tuning and detonation, not too much boost.

people have done 400-600 safely on stock b16 bottom ends.

tune your next engine buddy. tune it safely.
