Why take it off?????
It ties the rear "frame" rails together to make the chassis more rigid.
No you wont notice it in the street, because you cant stress the car enough to make it a difference, but on the track I am sure it serves as it is intended to.

Leave it on. It isn't even in the way really.
It's not for weight savings, but if I don't need it, why have it on the car? I was just curious if it did anything.

the brace will allow the car to turn high speed corners much better. You will notice the difference on the track or going through roundabouts at about 50mph
if your ITR is street driven only, then take it off coz it will not give u any performance related benefits.

If your car bends in corners, the suspension geometry is out the window. All of the many bars you'll find on the R help keep it stiff, and the suspension geometry constant.
Our car handles better than most ferraris. Dont mess with it...

It does prevent chassis flex.
