Default cost of 45k service

Hi,

Sorry if this is a noobie question, but how much could I expect the 45k service to cost if I brought it to an independent shop? And what is included in the service? I'm about to buy a 1999 V6 EX coupe, is there anything else I should look out for besides the tranny? It's been replaced.

Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Yeah, you might want to take it to a good mechanic and let him look at it. Don't know how a tranny with 45k miles would have to be replaced so early. Other than that you just want to check/change the basics. Air filter, PCV valve, check plug wires/plugs,change oil/filter, and check things on the steering and suspension, exaust and so on.

The 6th gen V6 Accords are well-known to have problematic transmissions...
