It really looks nice, but wasnt the TypeR originally made for high performance? If so, what is the difference between that car's output and the normal civic?

yeah except that one has actual rims....type-rs NEVER come with hubcaps....and he said his mod's were "adding" the type-r logo? and no actual engine upgrade which makes it not one......

no idea about the hubs cap.all comes from the dealer.they said it's just release about 1000 Australia wide.they also said it's once time release (they called limited edition) for this model.they also had accord euro sport edition (same scenario), but because civic in ausie already had 2 base model (1.8L engine called VTI and 2.0L engine called sport), so this one they called type-r limited edition.
specs all the same like 2.0L angine (144Kw, and etc...) plus different accesories.
they don't have coupe or hatchback model in ausie.
inside, exactly similiar like acura csx but the differences are :
-cd/radio is integrated with the dashboard, so you cannot change the audio system
-sport/chrome pedal
-sport/chrome gear ****

You got ripped, my friend. I mean no disrespect from this post, but I want to lay it all out so we are clear.
There is an Accord Special Edition in Australia.

There is not, however, a Type-R Special Edition Civic Sedan. What you have is a Civic Sport, with dealer adds. So, to be clear, the Accord Special Edition is a Honda produced, official variant. Your car is a dealer-produced imitation that isn't official.

I wouldn't make that pronoucement too fast.
Perhaps it isn't a rip.
It has some very nice stuff on it that doesn't come on - and isn't available on - an American spec Civic.
This car is indeed equipped like the Canadian Acura CSX.
Both are mostly JDM spec 8th gen. Civics.
He's got the turn signal mirrors, heated leather seats, the JDM front and JDM rear including JDM tail lights. Oddly enough it looks like they didn't used projection headlamps.
If you look at the rear bumper cover carfully it looks like the space for dual exhaust is factory (it has lip/indentation for tailpipes on both sides.)
I wish my 06 US Civic Hybrid had some of this stuff.

You may live there, and may know better than me about what is available, but...
Honda would have official documentation on this car. What is the name of the car on your title?
The Accord Special Edition is on the website, so is the EURO Luxury (there is no special edition of that).
The car you bought is NOT a Honda produced variant. Who put the Type-R badges on that? This car is a Sport, rebadged and jazzed up with accessories. Until I see an actual Honda document, release, picture, etc, no one has a case.

This Civic is official Honda AUSTRALIA product which has been put on sale just for 4 major state (WA,NSW,QLD,VIC), not available for SA,NT,CS,and Tas because a potential selling reason, that why you couldn't find in Honda Aus web.Same thing with Honda Accord Euro Sport (not Euro Luxury).and also Honda Aus web maintain in CS capital,it's means there is no any infomation pass to the IT department.

Boy, I wonder if you have the same I.P. address as the original poster?
Again, show me some proof besides stick on items that I can buy on eBay. This car has to be in literature somewhere, despite the reasons you think are valid.

You can toss incoherent insults all day, I don't mind.
However, the link I posted is in relation to A REAL TYPE-R MADE BY HONDA THAT IS A PROTOTYPE...
You do not have a Type-R, in any way, shape or form. Put the pictures back up and take a look at the differences if you actually think that is a derivative of the car you own.
Again, what is listed as the Vehicle make and model on yout title? Where is your limited edition Type-R stamp for what number you own? Where are the high-performance wheels instead of hubcaps? Where is the 6 speed?
p.s.
I have friends in Australia, they own the largest hockey equipment importer in the country. The funny thing is, they don't type like they have a 4th grade education, but yet coincidentally, both posters in here that are from Australia do, and have an extremely similar writing style.
