i have a 97 and 98 civic ex. well both cars have the same trouble! they have multiple cylinder misfires and has the trouble code P1399 which is something about the glow plug circuit!!! do anyone have some pointers on what this could be. .... also the exhaust smells like raw gas!!!! thank u, i would really aprreciate any help!!

 

P1399 is the "Wait To Start Lamp Circuit" - Glow plugs are for diesels last time I checked, but correct me if i'm wrong. Is your distributor connected in the right order, is your timing correct, have you recently done any work to the vehicle?

 

yeah.... now that i remember about the glow plugs, it is for diesel engines but ummm i recently moved the timing on the distributor and since then i have troubles with my engines rpm at idling... becuase my 98 drops down to almost 100 rpms at idling but could this be just because of bad timing????
