Default yet more ls/vtec

hey im running a stock b18b1 block with a jdm b16a head and ctr cams. i know that ls rods are **** for high rpm, i dont take it higher than 7000. this sucks cause i know i have more power. what rods do you reccomend? gsr? type r? and should i get new pistons too? i know the ls crank is fine for high revs. thanks guys.

Wow. 9 grand on stock ls rods. Throwing a rod through the side of the block sucks. Basically if that happens your gonna have alot of scrap metal laying around. I wouldnt risk it personally.

To the orginal poster: I would search around there's beefed up rods out there. And us arp rod bolts too.

Heck even euguene from prostreet said he was taking his ls/vtec to 9500 on stock rods and rod bolts, but that's too risky.
