Default Question for owners with Racing Seats.

Ok, so I have finally made the decision to sell the prelude and buy a S2000.

Only one problem. I am 6'4"-6'5". I went to the dealer and sat in one and I actually fit really nice, I even put up the top and had 2"-3" headroom.

But, only thing I didnt like was I was almost looking into the top of the windshield.

I heard that you can install racing seats so that they almost sit flat against the floor. It seems to me that the stock seats sit pretty high...it seemed like almost 3" below the seat they could go down. Has anyone done this? How much lower do you sit?

Thanks, Ryan

you can mod the stock seat so it would seat lower actually.

most racing seat are thin and low, just make sure it's mated with a proper hieight mount/slider for your height

Awesome! I really love the S2k. I mean...I love my prelude, but I am wanting something RWD now. I was just worried about the seat height.

I was thinking about getting this seat. I heard it sits lower than normal seats...plus I like the higher sides.

don't want to burst your bubble here.. but i do not believe these seats will fit in the S.... we are quite limited on the seats that we can have in our cars. the main issue is the shoulder area... most seats are to wide up top and end up hitting the door you so you can't close the door.. or they eliminate the usage of the center console...

I am using Sparco EVO's....

My center console is not usable. I had to shave about an inch off of each outer shoulder in order to get them to fit. Well worth it thought

test them out before buying any aftermarket seat, I tired most of the sparco and they are great, some is very tight and squeeze the ***** everything you release the clutch (must be made for female rally driver)

well most bucket style seats are for people with 30-34(max) waist....so if you are larger then a 34, all true bucket style seats will be tight for you, and especially in the S.
