Default Aftermarket Ignition?

Does replacing the stock ignition noticably increase horsepower? I've heard from some people that it does and from others that it doesn't. Anybody know? I don't want to waster $200 where it isn't needed...

(My car is a '94 Civic EX with a short-ram intake and a Hedmen header... soon to have cat-back exhaust)

Keep your factory ignition & be happy, 99% of the aftermarket ignition products out there suck ***. Including msd.

I have an aftermarket ignition system (Crane). I didn't pay for it so money wasn't a issue. I wouldn't buy until you have upgraded everything else. I don't notice any difference.

what if you suspect something is wrong in your ignition, aka, putting in new plugs, and the car running like ****! Im thinking there is a weak link in my ignition, replace with OEM? or aftermarket?

always run oem ignition replacement parts. They do fail, but last a long time and are better quality then 95 % of the aftermarket crap.
