Default idle control valve i think

hi my car reves up to 2000 rpm and goes down to 1000 and back and forth every now and then. sometimes its just reves really low down to 200 100 rpm. When i first had the problem a year ago it used to rev up and down very quick and i would have to turn my car off while im driving and turn it back on to make it go away. the check engine light came on and took it to get check and the code said it was the "idle control valve". the check engine light went off and never came back on and i know its the same problem and its not as bad as before but what i want to know is how can i fix this problem without spending too much money. does it havesomething to do with the map sensore. im not sure but if you know please tell me and please tell me what exactly is it and where. pics would be nice if possible. thanks

you can easily remove the IACV and clean it, it took me like 15 min.

could also be the coolant passages in the throttle body are clogged up. What happening is called hunting and it should be easily fixed by either cleaning the throttle body coolant passages or the IACV like stated above. Good luck.
