Hope someone can give me an idea of what this could be. My 94' accord LX makes this kinda humming noise when i'm in 3500 RPM or 4500 rpm (manual trasmission) i noticed it a few days ago after i took on a long drive (4 hours). could my engine be goin' bad or could it be the drive belts.

 

this happened to my 94 accord too. i fill up on 91 octane shell gas now. this makes the humming go away. are you filling with 87 right now?

 

yea, using 87. Matter of fact i jsut filled up 2 hours ago, i put in 94 (just cause it was so cheap) but somehow i dooubt it could be the problem. I hope my engine isn't going KAPUUT.

 

thats what happened with my car. there is a thread about this before and a few other people found the same solution. i can only say try and fill up 91 a few times so it will flush out the 87 and that might work. if it doesnt then i have no idea.

 

forgot to mention car has 170 + miles on it, also i recently did an oil pan gasket change on it and my amateur *** put the gasket on wrong and there was a major oil LEAK, well to make a long story short, dirt got in(Small grain size pebbles). but i change the oil. Anyway i think my mistake is coming back to haunt ME!!!!!!!!
