Default N/A Power for my B16A2

What type of engine mods could I do to my Si to give it a pretty good amount of power. I'm not trying to go for a turbo/super charger, I want to make my car fast and still be a daily driver. Thanks

1.8 bottom end or 2.0
high compression pistons like aftermarket or b16b piston
high lift cams like todas or keep oem like type r cams
those are your big power makers in a n/a set up.

high compression pistons and high lift, high duration cams. dont forget more fuel for all the extra air taken in.

p.s. i asume you got all the bolt-ons for ex. IM, i/h/e....

Toda Spec C cams and Toda valvetrain.
monster power setup, best bet for NA power from a B16.

IM TodaSi on the board here, he had that same setup

only if you are boosting. 2 1/2 is the biggest you should go on a b16. after that you start losing daily drivability because you have NO backpressure to create any torque. Just my $.02

b18a/b/c or b20b/z bottom end......... 90-93 b18a's go for $200-$400, gaskets and oil line <$150...........

Thanks for the info., but if I do mods to the cams and pistons and all that stuff, basically change the compression, I need to do mods to the fuel pump/injection, ecu and all the electrical stuff right?

This is what I tell everyone who has an Si.... If you remember- Honda had an ad running on the back of sport compact or something about what they got out of the the Si. I think it was a 14.1 with Stephen Papadakis as the driver and sponsorship by JUN... so you know it was the full setup cams and all.. For the money you'd (read they) spent to go 14.1 you'd be better off going turbo or something... or like everyone else said.. Get a b18 bottom for some more torqu..

Get a b18b bottom.. Endyn Rods/ ARP rod bolts... use your stock b16 pistons with a good mill on that b16 head..... and invest in some cams/valvetrain.....

You should be able to do all that for a little over $2000 (and that's with Skunk 2/stage 2 cams) I'd expect that setup to hit a mid 13 possibly.... And then you have a back up b16 block if something goes wrong..
