Default OBD2b 3 wire Alternator to OBD1 4 wire help - searched

Im doing a B16 swap in my 99 hatch. OEM alternator is 3 wire: white/blue, black/ yellow, and white red. I've beed searching and all I can find is 4 wire to 4 wire conversion. Im wanting to use the newer 4 wire alt. Is there any way to wire it to work?
Thanks

I've tried to use my 3 wire D-series, but the belt adjusting bracket doesn't line up
(circled)

Can I go:

Blk/Yel -- blk/yel
Wht/ blu -- wht/blu
blue -- red

and disregard the whte/ yellow -- wht/ green (I do not have the white/green)

Thanks again.

Just disregard the final wire (wht/yel), car will charge fine without it. No CEL.
Just use the 3 wires mentioned above, no problems

Soo say I’m going from 4 wire to 3 wire would I still do the same thing and disregard the (why/yel) wire? Also the harness that I have with the 4 wire connector that I’m trying to convert to three wire has (blk/yel) (wht/red) (wht/grn) (wht/blu) I’m also going to be trying to convert the distributor connector connector which is a big square connector currently and hopefully will be converting it to rectangular connector soo if anyone has any info on that I’d greatly appreciate any help and advice on how to go about doing that!! Thanks in advance!! Pictures below for reference!!

Different connector on harness but this is what my current distributor connector on harness in car looks like
