Installing a tachometer
Yes, you'll need to screw in the base of the tachometer, which will make holes in your dash. Depending where you are going to run the wires, you might need to drill a hole to run the wires under the dash. Remember, measure twice and drill once.

True, but I still wouldn't drill, cut or modify my dash in any way shape or form. Beside that, those big *** autometer tachs tend to gain unwanted attention.
