well, i have recently gotten a rattle over my cat, thought it was my cta bolts but it isn't. figured it might be my heat shield, but my heat shield is as tight as it can be.

so i figured what if i spray that foamy insulation between the heat sheild and the base floor. also i have noticed this star after i did my swap (b16a into a 95 hatch).

what's the worst that can happen if i just remove the stupid heat shield anyway?

 

youre shifter may get warm if you remove the heatshield. no biggie if you dont mind the heat.

yeah i don't mind, i guess that's what i'll have to do, since the noise is driving me crazy.

 

you could get a stock shift **** (rubber? plastic? im not sure). or even better get a titanium shift ****, it wont transfer heat .
