Default Skunk2 pro cams?

Are the Skunk2 Pro series cams Pro 1, Pro 2, Pro 3 more aggressive than the skunk2 stage 1, 2, 3 cams?? I know you can install The stage one cams on a stock valve train but you'll need springs for the stage 2's and 3"s. What about the Pro cams, can you install the Pro 1 cams in a stock valve train?

I though the Pro series cams replaced the original stage 1-3 cams, but I read posts about these cams and people are saying to use the stage 1's on a stock compression instead of the Pro 1's.

Can some one please explain the difference in these cams. i tried the search function for the last 2 days, but i keep getting search fail!

yea search is fucked for some reason.

the pro 1's are bigger then the stage 2's DONT use them with stock valvetrain. only the stage1's are ok on that

Any Skunk2 Pro series cam requires upgraded valvetrain components...

Thanks guys. I have a set of zex(comp) stage one cams in my B16a now. but over the winter I would like to get a set of stage 2 skunk or zex cams. I know i should replace the springs, but i don't want aftermarket srpings, because over the years I've read about aftermarket springs breaking. So what i wanna do is use a new set of oem USDM type r exhaust and intake valve springs. Do you think using the USDM Integra Type R valve springs will be good enough for a set of stage 2 skunk or zex cams (what ever I decide to buy). And i will only rev to stock redline.

no. the lift is too much. you NEED aftermarket springs for the stage2 cams.

So should I get the Skunk2 springs that skunk recommends for the cams? Or could I use a spring from a different manufacturer thats probably alot better quality.. And Do i need retainers? I read a post a while back about a skunk2 retainer snapping in half. So i'm not sure if i'm gonna go with skunk2 parts at all. I might go with Zex stage 2 or blox b cams (been seeing more and more posts about them)!!!

where can i get a spring comperessor to remove the springs while the head is on the car?
