COULD IT BE THE FUEL PUMP? HOW CAN I CHECK TO BE ALMOST POSITIVE THAT ITS THE MAIN RELAY. THE ONLY REASON IM ASKING IS CAUSE IM ON A BUDGET AND I DONT REALLY WANT TO HAVE TO REPLACE THINGS THAT ARENT REALLY THE PROBLEM BUT IF I HAVE TO THEN SO BE IT. THANKS
When you turn the key to the "ON" position (not "Start") do you hear the fuel pump whin for a second and build pressure? I doubt that it sitting a day then trying again and it starting would be fuel pump, maybe.
WELL I TRIED TO LISTEN FOR IT BUT I CANT HEAR ANY SOUND. WHAT I ALSO DID WAS DISCONNECTED THE HOSE TO THE FUEL RAIAND TURNED THE KEY "ON" TO SEE IF I GOT ANY PRESSURE. BUT NONE. POSSIBLITIES ARE FALLING SOMEWHERE WITH THE FUEL DELIVERY IM GUESSING. THE MAIN RELAY ALOS KICKS ON THE FUEL PUMP RIGHT?
NO NEED FOR CAPS I CAN HEAR YOU FINE. Yeah, that narrows it down to one of the two. Try the main relay seriously thats probably what it is. And you have the totally take the tank down to change the fuel pump (Well unstrap it most the way). If it turns out to be the fuel pump then a walbro 255 is my suggestion.

Lol...yeah excuse the Caps. im here at work and our system uses only caps. so i have to remember to take them off. but anyways back to the subject, is there a way i can check the main relay? do you have anything else in mind that i should do to try and figure this problem out? and by the way thanks for the suggestions, i appreciate the help.

I tested the relay and had no continuity. so i ordered one today. i tried the junk yards and wasnt sure if any other model had a relay that was compatible with mine so i just pulled two off another 1st gen crx and with my luck i took it home ran the test and sure enough they were faulty too. so today i ordered a brand stankin new one to be installed today. so ill keep you updated. Thanks for your help

okay, i replaced the main relay with a NEW one and still nothing. im thinking its time to play the Elimination game. so im replacing the pump today. this is getting to frustrating and eventhough i dont have the money to spend im a spend it anyways somehow
Like I previously stated, if you are replacing the fuel pump go with a walbro 255 lph. It will make life a lot easier if you end up swapping. And they are fairly cheap $100.00
where can i find a walbro 255 at? if i used a test light to test the connector going to the fuel pump and it is dim, it is a sign of weak voltage or was the pump only suppose to be recieving a small amount...i dont know i thought id ask?
by the way thanks alot bro.
by the way thanks alot bro.
There should be a 12v surge to the fuel pump only for a few seconds after turning the key to on, after that I dont think that there should be any (Until you start your car obviously
). Walbro 255LPH http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem Just an example, you dont have to buy that one. It fits right into the old spot fairly easy. Im not sure exactly how much voltage should go to the fuel pump. Maybe a HondaMaster here will respond and tell you.
