Default Tire Rub

I have got 225/45/17's on my FG1, my techs nor I can figure out why Im getting tire rub over bumps, its a common size for the FG's, the car is lowered but only 1.2-1.5, just curious if anyone else out there is having the problems or not.

i'm lowered on S-tech's and i've got 225-45's on my stock si wheels. driving normally i'm not worried but when i go over bumps faster than i should it rubs just a little bit.

yea, exactly, but its not even a matter of going faster than i should, sometimes i slow way down, i was just curious how many people were expiriencing this since its a recommended size for 17s

i've got 18s with S-Techs and i would also rub on some bumps, but that went away after i got an alignment done. so it could be an alignment thing.

seems like a lowering problem then. My rims are 17x7.5, 42mm offset, 225/45-17 tires, not lowered, no rubbing, not even with four adults.

daymn, 235 is pretty wide compared to the stock 215

Now I've heard/read or whatever that the same rim specs on an FG1 vs and FG2... the FG1 would have issues where as the FG2 would not (issues meaning rubbing, bumping, etc...) ... does this question make sense? and if it does .. can anyone answer that?

well I guess we need to hear from more people that have a dropped FG running 225/45/17's or something in the same overall diameter!
