Hey,
since I had to sell my ITR5874 a while ago I had been waiting and seeking, while I was driving cheaper cars. Because of higher tax in Germany from 2007 on, I wanted to buy a new car this year now. I really thought of buying an ITR again to get back to the game. But still ITR`s are expensive, eight years old and insurance cost is still horrible.
Finally I decided on a newer Opel (owned by GM), the Astra OPC III. This car is so surprisingly fast and sporty, so I really don`t think I´ll get back to Honda again. The new coming Civic Type R is an 200bhp n/a 18`` rims vehicle..
The time has come, so it seems, to find a new home. So I want to say goodbye to this board and the friends I made here, for example the guys from Europa (Portugal, Malta, Norway), Anton, Shane...(shane, where are you ??)
Have a good time. My website http://www.type-r.de will stay, so you can get in contact with me if you like.
Here is a video. The Astra doing a 8:35 on the Nurburgring

Here a roadshow pic of the car:

Near Frankfurt. Sure, they make the speedster. Next year the Opel GT will be alive again... I really don`t miss the ITR since I onw the new OPC. This car is so much more powerful and corners excellent.

Hey Sven!
Good thing you're satisfied with your new Opel. It looks good
Opel is getting better at making attractive cars in the later years...
I am sure the turbo-power feels nice, but it doesn't have the special "racing-soundtrack" of a itr in the high revs
Good thing you are not closing your website, nice information there...
Hope to meet you at the Ring one day in the future, ITR or not... Take care man!
btw: Are you going to hit the track in the OPC?

Hey Espen...
sure the OPC will sniff the track soon. It is a track-car base with all the good things in it.. Big brakes, superstiff suspension, Recaros... Sound is not like a high revving B18c but there is a dirty roaring and blowing coming from the turbo... watch the video so you can see what this car is doing on the ring... In the next two weeks I`ll upgrade to better drivability in normal mode and 285hp at activated "Sport" mode.
