Default dented out oil pan?

i bought a swap froma guy (gsr), and he said that the oil pan was dented in so they took it off and dented it back out, well if u get down to look under the car, the oil pan seems to bend downa bit like they dented it back too much. Arn't the oil pans supposed to be flat on the bottom? Well so i just went with what i had, and used it. I then put in 4qrts of oil, and it is only at the low oil level hole on the dip stick. Should i just leave it at 4 quarts? or put more in the make the oil level higher on the dip stick.

It should be fine, but if you ever come to a point of having only 1 quart of oil in there, the pickup tube might not be able to reach the oil because it won't be able to reach the bottom of the pan.

i would go with the little extra since my honda engines make oil disappear. either way it should be ok.
