trouble going into reverse! help! also wheel vibrating alot!
everyone day at least once i have trouble going into reverse it wont budge into gear, from nuetral or 1st, on flat ground. with foor on brake or off brake, but while not moving. anyone know what the problem is? I was thinking maybe clutch, i have a potenza flywheel, act clutch and b&m short throw. its the clutch right?
my other problem is if im going over 60 and in 5th gear of course, right when i start to brake my steering wheel starts vibrating really bad, it doesnt matter what gear im in but if i brake while going like 10-55 it doesnt vibrate. Its a gsr, so 4 disc brakes. the brakes work pretty good imo could there just be somthin loose?
thanks

Just a piece of advice you need to try and explain the situation a little more clearly next time. So you're saying that when you are stopped on flat ground, with the clutch pressed in....your car will not go into reverse sometimes? Unless your gears are grinding or anything I would probably say this is mostly normal. Every now and then I have trouble getting my car into first or reverse and its because the synchros arent lined up or whatever. Just wiggle the stick around a little bit and it should pop right in.
On to your second question...your steering wheel vibrating might have to do with a bad alignment or perhaps warped rotors. If your brakes seem like they grab pretty well I dont think it would be the brake pads.

Try to play with the clutch somewhat when putting it into reverse. Go from 1st to reverse also. The vibration could be a poorly balanced tire or a damaged susp. component.
