hey guys i have a b18b1 block, jdm b16 head with ctr cams any ideas on more torque? i have full 4-2-1 header and exhaust. cold air intake. any suggestions? besides turbo.

yeah a bunch of crap. if you want to go turbo, then basically do it. but if you want N/A. i would suggest a complete engine rebuild for a maximum potential of the engine.

cam gears and get it tuned

 

IF YOU HAD ADJ CAM GEARS YOU CAN ADV THE CAMS TO GAIN TORQUE IF YOU RETARD THEM YOU GAIN POWER TO BEST WAY ADV INT AND RETARD EXH TO GET BEST OUT YOUR ENG

 

you really wont get that much more power out of messing with cam gears, maybe like 5hp if your lucky, best way is to get your car street tuned, also messin with cam gears gives u a higher chance of valve to piston contact

 

good luck getting torque. the only way to get any "real" torque would be to bore your engine and buy a stroker kit. or (and id recommend this way) buy a good sized turbo kit and get it tuned, a properly sized turbo can add some nice bottom end without really sacrificing top end. seems that the only other bolt on mod you can get would be a good intake manifold, beyond that youre pretty much looking at internals and/or FI.

why not up the compression if you want more torque? and then get some better cams/valvetrain.

get some b16 pistons and new rings... that will give you TQ through the entire RPM range...
