Default Check your power steering!

I work at a honda dealer in southern Michigan and just to inform everyone in the last couple months we have been replacing numerous plastic elbows off the power steering resevoirs, so just keep an eye out for leakage, one civic had obviously been leaking a while and we had to put a rack in it as well. of course it will be covered under your warranty!

Here we go, right from the specification page on honda's website about the Si.

http://automobiles.honda.com/m...ic+Si

Its the third row of boxes, 6th one down.

EPS is standard on the Si only, FG1 civics are equipped with traditional PS which has a resiovor, pump, etc... I've had 2 come in to my shop that had small leaks which is warrantied and fixed with a simple piece and one which required a whole new rack because the owner didnt notice the leak soon enough.

FG2's wont be effected and only a small amount of FG1's will require attention

Can you give us a head's up on other problem area's on the si etc? For example I have had my si for a month and I have a terrible noise coming from the rear passenger area. I can't tell if its a shock or body panel loose. Have heard of this before? thanks in advance

There's no rear body panel that could be loose. Unless u consider the bumper or trunk rear body panels. The rear quarter panels are welded on.

Anyways, there's been people having problems with noises in the rear and it's the shocks.

YEA ANYTHING I FIND OUT I WILL MAKE SURE TO POST IN HERE, THE SI IS PRETTY MUCH BULLET PROOF, MAYBE SOME QUIRKS WITH THE PANELS AND RATTLES BUT AS FAR AS THE ENGINE ITS NOT A NEW BREED, ITS JUST A MUCH BETTER VERSION OF AN OLD BREED.

THE R SERIES MOTORS AND DRIVETRAINS AND EVERYTHING ARE ALL NEW SO THERE MAYBE A FEW STUPID THINGS.

ILL BE SURE TO LET YOU KNOW!
