falken azenis RT-615. what do u think about these tires?
hello,
(long post
)
ive tried a search of these rt615 tires in wheel and tire section but found nothing....
falken azenis RT-615
size: 205.50.15. (98 civic hatch)
i would only use them for about 4 monts a year, from may/june to september since ive got a differnet set of wheel/tire combo for spring/fall and
another set of wheel/tire combo for winter, so the azenis rt615 will only be use for summer daily spirited driving and weekend lapping.
these rt615 will be mounted on rota c8 15" if i still have them next summer (planning on selling the c8 this fall/winter).
if i do sell them then the rt615 will be match to either rota J special (green) or super mesh (blue) or a set of no-name made in taiwan cheap *** black spoom rims.
i am currently using the Hankook Ventus HRII for the past 2 summers (05/06) and ive tried the (old) azenis sport in 03/04. i realy liked the old azenis sports.
Becuz i only use the summer tires for about 4 months a year tire wear is minimal. the ventus hr2 still have about 85-90% tread left after a total of 8 months useof daily driving and 2 full lapping days.
i just want better (summer only) tires in the future.
.... now about the azenis rt615...
who has them?
what do you think about them? do you like them?
hows dry gripping, wet tracktion, heat-up cycle and other related things?
are the rt615 better then the azenis sport (discontinued ones)?
what other tires are comparable to these besides the ra1s?
how are theses rt615 in comparision with:
BFG g-FORCE T/A KD
BFG g-FORCE T/A KDW
BFG g-FORCE KDW2
potenza RE-01R
falken FK-451 / 452,
hankook ventus R-S2 Z2 12,
kumho ecsta MX (ku15), or the ecsta SPT?
will be ordering the azenis rt615 next week if they are the best choice.
or what tires do you recommend? what have you tried?
all comments are welcome.
thank you.
much appreciated.
( hoping nsxtasy would post something since he's the wheel/tire specialist.

The search function isn't working right now. Brief response...
The Falken Azenis RT-615 is as sticky on dry pavement as any street tire available. As long as you don't mind the relatively short treadlife (similar to its RT-215 predecessor) and so-so performance in rain (better than the RT-215), I highly recommend them. They also manage heat better than the RT-215. If you want to see a comparison of the two (along with several other specialty tires), click here.
They are much, MUCH less expensive than the similar KD and RE01R, and their performance is much, MUCH better than the KDW, KDW2, FK451/452, and SPT. The performance is slightly better than the Z212 and MX (again, click the link above).

I have zero complaints about my RE01Rs
Last long for a high performance tire and good in wet also. Too bad they cost just as much as A048s. They have RE01Rs in the US now???

Yes, we do, but not in smaller sizes for Civics and Integras.

i would go with the falken 615's like nsxtasy stated very good traction tire for grip and not to bad in wet......and a lot cheaper than any of the other tires listed......
