A few weeks ago i drive through my local mall and park my car in the very front of KFC (in front of mall entrance becide KFC) and 5 minutes later i walk out and reach for my door handle and find potato and gravy all over my door!!!! I did not see anyone do it i was thinking do you other R owners suffer the same problems of people messing with your R's? (Also had my alarm activated) I'm starting to get a little worried about where i park now even with my alarm on in a mall.. I was so angry and embarrased that someone would do that to my car and for no reason! All i knew is that whoever did that was also in KFC.

 

just make sure you get that **** off pronto if it happens again.

Bad for the paint.

Im sure everyone on this board has had something happen to there R so don't feel to bad about it.

I had an egg hit my black R, left a scratch when i tried to get it off, but it didn't damage the paint thankfully

 

First off, the mall isn't a great place to park the car even for a few moments. I've done it, and I'm sure many others have too. It's the risk you take with these cars and others being jealous/stupid.

 

I'm sure something like this has happened to all of us before when parking in a public area. Nothing you can really do. There are ******** everywhere.

 

What I hate is parking in a corner and then someone parks so close to you, it doesn't seem like the driver can get out. Always carry quick detailer and microfibers for those situations.

be glad that that is all that happened. this past week i had court in norfolk which is about an hour away from here. i decided what the hell ill take the R. shell be fine. well when i came out i noticed the wing was sitting kind of wierd. sure as **** someone had yanked on the wing and actually bent the trunk. so now there is about a half inch gap in the front where it mounts. haters

Stories as such are exactly why i do not leave my car unattended in public places. This is exactly why i have an alternate DD. I love my Type R and hate that i can't drive it as much as i would like to, but retards as such are going to continue with the non-sense no matter where you live. Sorry to hear about that. It could have been worse, I had a couple of friends who were in the movies. One drives an EK coupe and the other drives an S2000. They were parked right next to each other and apparently some kid ran up the roof of the coupe, then jumped onto the front fender of the S2000. The back piece of metal below the top of the S2000 is also dented and appears to be stood on. I hate the fact that people can't respect other peoples property and are jealous/too lazy to work for their own stuff.

Honda haters are everywhere. Even my docile lil 4 door GS has been the victim of mall haters. Came out to find alarm was triggered, by skateboarders hitting off the nose. Scratch arcs all over the bumper between the headlights. I'd have been extra pissed if they had broken the Acura emblem off. So glad I didn't see any skateboarders around when I came out. Heat of the moment gets me sometimes

the worst is when you park your car far away from all the others to prevent dings and dents, next thing you know, someone parks their hunk of ******* **** right beside your R and left a nice ding.


Iv had it happen once, it was a new truck.. i left so many dents in that truck, and had a sore knee for a week.

Actually, I've also noticed that birds like to crap on my car as well. I'm not talking about quarter-sized squirts but full out "I just dumped my entire digestive track" poops. And no I don't park under trees, electric poles, or by the beach.

 

I'm just thankful I hate places like the mall and movie theaters enough to not visit them regardless of what I'm driving. Those places are where you'll find the scum of America. Truly vacuous, self-absorbed, worthless people.

I'm with you on those damn birds. I swear they are just like those divebombing pigeons in commercial from a few years ago.

If you can afford to own an R, Instead of buying a $1000 exhaust go get a winter beater or daily driver.
