Default questtion about my cold air inttake on 05 civic lx, need help.

I have a injen cold air inttake installed in my 05 civic lx. However the filter is positioned right behind the lower end of my radiator. I'm wondering if there is suffecient air getting in with it being behind my radiator. Isn't this hot air getting into my engine instead of cold air?

Well, the air temperature would be cooler if you were able to pull from a fresh air source, but it's not like you'd see a performance gain either way. So, I guess it really doesn't matter if it's behind your radiator or not, is what I'm trying to say.

So should I remove the intake and install the stock intake? I hear that cooler air passes through your radiattor that anywhere else on your car. I just dont want to ruin my engine witth a hot air fuel mixtture.

I doubt you're causing undue damage to your car with the setup you have right now. I'd say it's up to you. If you like the extra whoosh noise from the more open-air intake, then keep it on. If you prefer a more quiet appeal, then swap out for the stock setup. Either way, you're not really causing tons of extra damage to your engine.

plus it looks cool right? I like my K&N intake...I just hate my D17...except when it's time to fill up.
