Ok I had a antifreeze leak so I replaced a bad hose. Thats all fixed however right below the distributor cap a wire broke off cause it was crystalized and weak. This caused my check engine light to come on and d4 light is flashing. Is this a sensor wire or just a sensor and what sensor is it? Please help

 

The d4 light is a transmission code. the engine light may be for any other thing, get it scanned by a mechanic shop.

 

If you know the color of the wire I could probably tell you what it goes to. The only wires directly under the dist. are both coolant temp. sensors , one for gauge and one for ECm called the TW sensor. The TW will send a check engineMIL but not the other. The d4 light could be interrelated if you drove the car after the MIL light came on (dont ask why). But it may be a wire on the speed sensor on the trany. that came off , also. More info would help. Repair the broken wire first; then jumper the BLUE 2 pin connector at the top of the passengerside kick panel, turn on the key and watch for the 'D4' flash code.
do this and repost the code.

 

OK. That picture showed the ECT connector(engine coolant temp) previously known as TW sensor. I didn't notice a wire out of connector or if sensor was broken. either way fix it and both lights will go out. DPJ
PS. you can clear ECU by pulling Backup/radio fuse in under hood box for 10 seconds (7.5amp) KEY OFF!
