Homemade lowpass crossover???
I had a book on how to do it, but cant remember what it said. I have a sub & amp that are hooked up in my house but it sounds like shi* because there is no low pass. Im not looking to spend a bunch of money just yet so do any of you know the procedure on making one?
IMO, If you care about sound stay away from passive crossovers. Look into books on how to make an active crossover. Active is more difficult in terms of putting it together. Technology wise its the same principals.
Which way do you want to go, passive or active? Passive will be more expensive, because all the parts need to be big. Active will be much cheaper, but it requires soldering. Active would be the way to go.
This should help you out if you decide to go active.
