assembling SRP pistons onto Eagle rods
My 75.5mm SRP pistons came in today for my a6 (re) build. Last week I took off the old 79mm JE pistons that were attached to the Eagle rods (which I am reusing). The problem is, I paid no attention to how the rods were situated on the pistons. I am wondering which side should the bearing tang (in the rods) point to? On the stock a6 piston/rod I have in front of me, the bearing tang is on the exhaust side--is that how it should be with these Eagles/SRPs? I hope I am making this clear enough--I just don't want to assemble these things and then find out that the tang is pointing the wrong way--those Spiro-Locks are a bitch to take off!!!

Am I putting too much thought into this? I have searched and it seems some of the pistons are mounted with the intake reliefs on the bearing tang side of the rod, and some with the exhaust reliefs on the bearing tang side of the rod....
