i put in a ls vtec in a hatch and ran good all of a sudden today i went to run someone and it usually revved at 8k with a gsr ecu well today it revved at 6k and my cel so i tryed a single vtec ecu and it revved at 3k please someone help and thanks in advance

 

this is what happens when you go to run someone. it sounds like i distributor problem. any CEL?

 

that single cam ecu wont work in your car, you said you have a dohc swap right? do you have a friend with a 99-00 si or a gsr? try a different dohc vtec ecu.

it will work, though not recommended, but it will work.

 

it'll work without a chip? If so sorry for bad advice.

it will, he got his engine up to 3K, but it won't run as efficient as with the correct ecu.

 

no i ran my car with a dohc ecu i only used single to test it to see if it was ecu bit i guess it wasnt anymore help works but thanks its been very helpful more than the asses at honda-acura
