Default Something done wrong when swapped

I have a 94 si and not too long ago the JDM h22 was swapped in it. The vtec doesn't work, in fact...it boggs like crazy. So- i changed back to the p14 ecu and everything works fine. The ecu is fine, but the rest doesn't work. I need my vtec.

Good god, swap back to the p13 ecu, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars.

You're damaging your motor running that ecu.
It has different fuel maps and will cause your motor to run lean.

Swap your p13 ecu back in, then let us know if you are getting a CEL.

If you are, check it and go from there.

If not, read the "why vtec doesn't engage thread" in the faq's at the top.

Wow, that sounds like a bad dream Please change it back to your p13 for my sake, then read the codes and go from there

As said above, pop in the correct ECU for the motor then check the codes.

A simple rule of thumb... When doing the swap... You have to wire vtec up...

Actually, the Vtec does work, but the engine boggs terribly. When i step on the gas....it's revs so weak....VERY VERY weak. I actually tried pushing it to 5200 rpm and the vtec does engage, but it's not driveable. So i have no choice but to throw the p14 in. I don't know what the problem is...Joe Demaree did the swap...i tried taking it to a dealership, but they won't accept it because it's not stock. <--who knew....but anyway...please help me out.

Listen....the vtec is wired up...i just said that the vtec engages....my real problem is that the motor boggs down in low rpms while using the p13 ecu. Thats the problem....it's not the vtec...i will try advancing the timing, but i doubt it will work.

It bogs in lower RPM's......but does it open back up in the higher RPM's?

Maybe the timing belt's off a tooth.

Double check the timing like stated before.

Make sure you jump the service connector
when you do it as well.
