Default low beams don't work ...???

okay this is totally mind wrecking for me .. but maybe 'cuz i stress easy.

I have 2001 ex and my low beams just stopped working. The high beams work fine but the low beams don't work. I tried swapping light bulbs but that doesn't seem the problem as the new bulbs won't work either. Can anyone suggest where the problem might be? and how much am i looking at to get fixed??

Thanks

maybe its the wrong bulbs, they are double filament, meaning they work for both, low and high beams.

did they work before, with these same bulbs? if so, try some other bulbs. if not, check to see if there's any loose wiring on the socket...

i remimber seeing a recall that the low beam terminal on the switch can overheat and caus unexpected low beam loss.

Yea, there was a recall on the headlight switch where the low beams would fail. Try taking it into a Honda dealer and see if your Civic falls into this category.

The relays go out once in a while
Look into the fues box inside the engine bay.
Is on the left side (passenger) just below the strut tower.
Open the lid ,on the bottom of the lid it tell you whitch relay (a square black box 1" wide) is the one for the low beams.
There should be two one for low and one for high.
All relays are all the same type, to test, just swap one of the other ones turn low beam lighs on, if that's he problem just buy another.
