HELP!! I broke somthing off trying to fix a coolant hose!!
Okay so I don't have my helms so I don't know what i broke.
I was trying to replace a leaky coolant hose that is the smallest diameter comming out of the block and going to the fire wall.
What I broke was a small black hose going from the top of the intake manifold to a black plastic toped "catch can" looking thing below the battery in my 95 GS-R. The smallest diameter coolant hose that goes from the block to a little plastic box on the firewall is what i was trying to replace. The hose I broke is below this plastic box. There are actually two small hoses comming out of this black canister, I broke the plastic tab off the one metioned before. What does this hose do?
Car seems to run fine still, had to drive it the the body shop, no CEL's or anything noticeable. I know some one has to know what this is...please help.

that can is only for emissions..you are fine just blocking that hose off whith a rubber seal or w.e. as long as that hose connects to the intakemanifold befor the throttle body you dont have to worry about vacume leaks. Long story shory short just plug the lil metal tube that the hose fits over on the manifold. later man
you broke the PCV valve for the black box. car runs fine with out, but fix it cause not only those exhuast gas come out of it, but also oil that is being blowed out. Just pick one up at Pepboys or something, they're only like 5 bucks
