What causing the drive light to flash on a 91 legend?

What causing the drive light to flash on a 91 legend?
The light just flashes when in drive. Car still drives fine, but the light flashes. What could it be, and how do I get rid of the annoying thing?

I agree D5 flashing is usually flashing when it reads a incorrect gear ratio. Going to need a tranny or rebuilt it
