OK, throwing the CYP 9 code. I took off my cap, found it was cracked, went to check the further internals and found that the rotor screw came out. Then the peice that goes behind the rotor broke in half. Not sure what this peice is called ( its all metal and slides over the shaft and has 3 holes in it)....but wondering if that peice is replaceable or am i going to buy a new Dizzy tomorrow? also trying to figure out the name for the metal peice mentioned.
I have searched, and have found a lot of GREAT info! but havent found anything on this peice yet.

What piece are you talking about. I've had my dizzy apart many times (last friday being the last) and dont recall this metal piece. After you take the rotor off you have the plastic cover, take the plastic cover off and you have access to the coil/ignitor and TDC sensors...

They are also going to be cheaper than an OEM replacement.

You take that hing apart before you installed it?

I know another person whos DK failed as well, which is why I was hesitant on getting one. But they arent nearly as expensive as OEM (new) and they have a lifetime warranty. I got mine for $169 on ebay (thru DK's online store) and HT/ITRCA gets a discount at Checkout as well. Cheaper than their website.
Jim, no I didnt take it apart, I just popped it in and went so I havent had a chance to test my old one.

isn't a OEM dizzy like $400? I know its hella expensive which sucks...
I actually need a new dizzy soon but I don't know if I feel like spending that much for OEM kinda sucks lol

Yes that correct. It no longer requires the screw.

How does the rotor stay on without a screw?</TD></TR></TABLE>
You can use an OEM rotor if youd like. The shaft still has the threaded hole. The DK Rotor is a tight fit, I have full faith the bitch wont come off!!!
Here are some quick pics I snapped last night.

yea I was wondering that to...
I don't know what the problem was to this day between the DK Dizzy and the OEM one I have...but for some reason the tach just wouldn't work. I didn't really need it to cause I have a VAFC, but its nice to be able to see about what rpm your at when driving hard...haha
Speaking of which, my OEM dizzy is probably repairable because I can still drive with it, just can't really redline. Anyone in MD know anything about repairing them? I wouldn't know where to even start.
