Default Weird noise

Hello everyone!I bought a 1992 accord lx whit 293000km on it.That car had a few problems and some have been fixed. When the car is cold, the idle goes up and down all the time.In drive it idles and runs fine, even if its cold. The dash lights for the handbreak,cruise,flasher,high-beam works on and off randomly,so its not the bulb that is burn.Yesterday,i drove it for a 2h trip everything was find and when i parked the car back i heard a cliking noise from underwood.Next morning i start it up and no clicking sound. As soon as it got on steady idle(hot),its was back but louder. It seem to but coming from the fuel rail?,where the injector are.Sound like little clacks clacks but i not sure where it come from exacly. When i give gas it keep doing it no more no less. The last issue is the shifter that is hard to move. Its very hard go in and out of park.Once its out of park,it works fine. The D4 dashlight dosent work but all the other does.

Beside that, the car is perfect!Im in love whit it!

Any imput would be very appreciated...

Welcome to HT.com Paula77!
First lets have a look at the eratic idle, this is a common problem and there are many threads that discuss it so I won't go into to it, just do a search under the topic "idle air control valve" or "IACV" and you should get the answers your looking for.

As for the intermittent dash lights it sounds as if all the dash lights are blinking together, that leads me to believe that the problem is common to all the dash lights and is most likely related to the dimmer switch. Try to remove the switch and turn the lights on and wiggle the connection at the back of the switch, if the lights flicker then you can either repair or replace the switch.

The "clack clack" sound you here coming from the fuel rail is most likely the fuel injectors pulsing on and off which is NOT abnormal however this sound could also be the result of the valves needing adjustment, this is not a difficult task but if your a novice ask a friend to show you how, you'll be suprised how easy it is.

Do you know when the last tune up was? Always post your vehicle type trim and engine model so that we can help you to identify the trouble.

Keep us posted on your progress!
