Default adhesive for an iS badge

ok so basically i was wondering what type of adhesive should i use if i were to put the "H" iS badge

my friend told me to use double sided tape but i dont think its a really good idea since i would have to cut out the outlining of the emblem...

i got PERMATEX: SUPER WEATHER-STRIP...thats what a car shop told me to use bcz they told me that in any case that someone steals my emblems or if i decide to debadge it, it wouldnt eat away my paint...

any suggestions? feedbacks? opinions?...would be great...especially if you have experienced te priduct that i got...

thanks...

You need 3M Automotive Double Sided tape. You can get it at any automotive store. This is what body shops use to put back moldings and emblems. Basically cut strips and stick it behind the emblem. Then take a razor and cut off the excess tape.

This stuff works great.

Do you mean other than the above mentioned perfect solution? I hear Gorilla Glue works really great.

You will be hard pressed to do better than the 3M I have used it on several occasions and it holds great and doesnt jack up your paint.

i agree. the 3m DS tape is probably the best solution. a little time with an exacto knife with the tape before installation will be the best way. gorilla glue will be permanent.

i bought '04 side skirts this year and the seller included all the clips. i cut off the protrusions on all the clips that would go into the holes on the 04-05 bodies, sanded them smooth and cleaned them. i bought that #M DS tape at a local parts store and put a piece on each clip (fit perfectly). it has worked great and i save about $100 from not having to have to buy the "sticky clips" from the dealer to mount the side skirts. an hour of time and $8 in tape and the skirts are mounted perfectly. no issues 3 months later.
