Default boosted d17 or a NA k20a.

if you had 10 G's to play with would you swap in a k20A or would you boost a d series and put more into the money. figureing your looking at 220whp in a k20A and about 300 in a built boosted d17. what would you do?

Around 12-14k for a 300hp boosted D17, or about 8k for a K20A2? I'd take a K20A2 for sure.

Id take a K20a2 over a d17 anyday. Why?

not only is it a far superior power platform, it will be the STANDARD for performance in only a few years, leaving d16/d17/B's obsolete.

Prices will lower for aftermarket parts, just as they did for B's and D's.

K20a2's also have a FAR superior tranny/gearing, 5 bolt axels, FAR MORE TUNING possibilites, a TRUE DOHC Vtec, loads of torque, and no CRAPPY PLASTIC IM!

toyomatt werte did you get 8k for a k20a2. I found one which is a complet changover with axles and everything for 4l of a website if you want a link i will find it and post it. I dont think labor would cost four grand. But maybe i am wrong.
