i have a b16a in my car and i want to go turbo. how dumb would it be to sell my whole swap and build a sick d-series turbo? money wise which would be better. my goals are to have a nice low 13sec high 12sec car. this is all in an EF hatch. reliability is def. an issue. which would be more reliable also.

 

personally, id much rather have the b series, but there are some very impressive low budget D series builds poping up everywhere.

anything can be reliable with the right person/people behind it.

 

i say keep the b and save some $$$ to boost it. A b16 swap isnt worth that much and the b series will make more power without trying too hard on boost.

low 13's high 12's in a civic b series turbo? that should be VERY VERY easily done. what 250whp or so? you can deff. make that on a turbo b16 and have it last a lifetime if tuned properly.
