Default Swapping a JDM B16a, Do you need knock sensor???

I am swapping a JDM B16a2 from a eg6, into a 93 Civic EX.

Can I just use the d16z6 engine harness and use the jdm p30 ecu.

The problem with the Knock Sensor and it having one more wire which I could hardwire to the ecu, but what does the Knock Sensor do, is it important.

If not can I just chip the p30?? Or do I have to use a p28 because my car has a usdm floorboard dashboard harness??

Yes, with a P30 you will need the Knock Sensor wired to the D3 pinout.

With a P28, it does not require Knock Sensor.
