Default '06 vs. '06-'07 Helm Service Manuals?????

So a few months ago I went to order the Helm shop manuals for my Si and the general maunal was on backorder, so I just purchased the '06 Si supplement.

I was on the Helm site today and the 2006 shop manual (2006 Civic 2/4 door Service Manual PN#61SN00 for $75.00) is still on backorder, but they have a 2006-2007 manual (2006-2007 Civic 2/4 door Service Manual Vol 1&2 for $75.00) available now. Other than having info specific to the '07 model, I'm assuming that all the same '06 model info can also be foundin the 2006-2007 manual.

Has anyone with an '06 Civic purchased the 2006-2007 Helm shop manual or are you just holding out for the standalone '06 manual to be available?

Why would Helm still offer a standalone '06 shop manual if the same info could be found in '06-'07 manual?

Its suppose to have the Si suppliments as well, so basically its a combination of the 06 Coupe/Sedan manual and the 06 Si suppliment all rolled into one version for $75. It also has the info about the VSA for the 07 models.

Mine got shipped out yestarday so Ill let you know!

Zesti: If that's the case, that's total BS. So I'm going to have to spend $150 to get something that can be gotten for $75 now. When I ordered the SI supplement, the general manual was on back order. I've been buying Helm manuals for years and I think the world of their service manuals.....by far the best manuals on the market. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow and voice my disatisfaction with that BS

I got both manuals, the 06 si supplement and the 06 civic service manual for $75 dollars from honda if that helps any. It took them about a week to get them. The only thing is I orderd them from my shop, im not sure if they sell them to customers.
I dont see why they would have a problem with it though.

racerEX. I agree that its total BS. I was going to order both as well, but the coupe/sedan one was back ordered so I decided to wait. Then I seen that there was the new one with all the info, so I ordered that one. It arrived yestarday actually, but Im away from home for work, so Ill post up about it on the weekend.

Update: Just got off the phone with Helm, the '06-'07 Civic 2/4 door sevice manual vol 1&2 (PN#61SNA03) does not include the the Si specific service information.........you still have to order the seperate Si supplement manual(PN#61SNA01).

I just order the '06-'07 manual and I'll confirm that the Si info is in fact not included in the basic manual when I get it.

Hmmm.......that sucks then. I was miss informed as well because I would have ordered both at the same time to save on shipping and now if I have to order the other one Ill get screwed!!!

*Edit* emailed them about it and 61SNA03 does not include the information from 61SNA01

Further Update: Got the two volume 06-07 manual and it in fact has all the Si information included. I checked the '06 Si Supplement against the '06-'07 2/4 door Civic Vol 1&2 for a most of the sections all the info appears to be included.

I called Helm and bitched a little and they gave me the okay to return the '06 Si Supplement for a full credit.

In summary, the '06-'07 Civic Manual covers all Civics and can be had for $81.95, including shipping......which is a great deal for a sweet shop manual
