Default builting cheap b20vtec setup, will it be better to replace rod and mains bearings??

just putting together a cheap b20vtec. was planning to put 12:1 aftermarket piston that i have laying around, arp rod bolts and just slap on a b16 head. will it be better to just replace rods and mains bearing with acl's and plastic guage to spec??

Don't reuse your bearings. Bearings are something I would not cheap out on. Especially if you are tearing it apart to put in new pistons. Bearings are relatively cheap and it doesn't take long to measure the clearance.

Replace them rather than rebuilding later on. Make sure you get the right water/oil pump.

b16a bearings drop right in, the rod has to modified to fit the gsr bearings.
