Oil line setup questions.
I am going to turbo my H23 lude with a big 16g that im buying of someone. it is in good condition and eveything with no play at all. I was just wondering about the oil line(s). I heard something about needing a restrictor or something b/c preludes have 100psi+ of oil pressure. Is this true?? also how did you guys tap your oil feed line? did you go from the oil sensor thing or did you get an oil filter block adapter? I am looking into the easiest and cheapest way. Is the oil sensor tapping hard to get at or hard to do?? does anyone have pics or have sites where they got their oil stuff. Thanks.
I have my 92 turbo'd with a complete stock setup off of a 91 Eclipse turbo. I actually stole the oil lines and coolant lines off the eclipse and I used the eclipse oil feed banjo style line and took it to a machine shop and had them cut off the banjo fitting that went into the eclipse head and put me on a 1/8 NPT so I could hook it directly up to my 1/8 NPT feedline off the back of the block. I used the stock eclipse return line and drilled holes in the prelude oil pan to match it and bolted that sucker straight up. Used the throttle body coolant lines and hooked up to the stock eclipse turbo coolant lines. (Again had to cut off the banjo and just clamped the throttle body line over the naked steel line from the turbo) 200 dollar junkyard turbo kit!
Yeah, I am at about 60 psi when cruising (3-4k rpms) and about 20 psi at idle when fully warmed up on an H23.
I got my oil lines from stealthmode performance. They have anything you need for a turbo Honda including many custom fittings.

How long is enough to feed the oil from the back of the engine? It seems to me that 3ft they sell everywhere is not enough if you don't want to route it across the valve cover... Can the port in the block below the VTEC valve be used for oil feed? It looks like direct connection from the oil filter (then these 3ft will be enough)
