i notice when my car is in neutral ('98 EX 2dr.) its making soirt of a very low whirring noise (it stops when i depress the clutch all the way, and comes back when i release the clutch to the point where it catches).. also makes a strange rumbling/whirring noise when i hit about 3000-4000 rpm, and the car kinda jerks when i release the gas pedal...
any thoughts?

edit: How many miles?

 

input shaft bearing how many miles do you have on the car? they tend to start makeing noise after 100,000 mile mark
