Shocks, what should I get?
I have a 91 hatch, apex springs with a 1.5 drop and stock shocks. What should I get? What difference will sport shocks make on the handling? Will it make the ride more bouncy? More comfortable? I dont want to go into that race stuff, it's a daily driver. Anyone has any good site that talks about all the different options and brands?
Thanks for any info!

I talked to some guy. He said one a the best setup I could get is the Koni yellow ajustables with Neuspeed sport springs. Anybody have this setup? That means that I would have like-new Apex springs for sale...if anyone is interested.

i know people will start talkin the ****. But i personally like Tokico Blues. that is hat i have been running with for a1 year and my g-friend has had hers for over 6 mths and she likes them.
I've heard they aren't that good. I have apex springs right now with stock shocks. I have been told that apex springs with tokico blues is the worst you can get. I'd like them to be adjustable too....anyway, thanks for your input...
Tokico blues are to soft, if your on a budget at least get the adjustable Tokicos. But if you want to have some sweet *** suspension I would use Koni's. The best purchase I ever made.
What Konis do you have? I was thinking of the koni yellows adjustables with neuspeed sport springs...
tokicos are definitively out of my list....

unfortunately, there is no such thing as the "Best Suspension". What works for you and your car and how you drive will need to be determined.
On track, some drivers go fast with soft suspensions while others 'need' a very stiff car. This is personnal preference.
I have run Tokico blues on my 85 CRX Si street car with stock springs and felt the ride was too bouncy. I have also run Tokico Illuminas on my old 85 CRX Dx when on the street with stock springs and now on my ITC CRX and am very happy with them. When set on 1 (full soft), the ride on the street is pleasant and crank them up for road racing and they perform well.
For a street car, I would suggest Koni adjustables or Tokico Illuminas with close to stock spring rates. Generally the bouncy ride is from springs that are too stiff for the shock damping available.
Good luck,
Devin

Bilsteins. Simply the best.
Here are the rest in the order I like them
Konis
Stocks
Tokicos
KYB
Drop me a line if you want more info on Bilsteins. There's a reason why these German shocks are original equipment on the best models of Porsche, Miatas, Toyotas, GM Avalanches, etc.

Alright thanks guys. I'll probably go for the Koni yellows. The guy at the shop told me this morning that they are rebound ajustable but also height adjustable. It doesn't says so anywhere on their website though. Anyone knows about this?
As for the springs, I'll probably sell my apex springs and get the neuspeed sport ones.
